Kinderland

So, Milo has been SO very lucky to have been with his grandma and his Tann since day one, BUT, now that grandma broke her elbow, and his Tann needs to work hard for the money (she can't afford to live off the beans and rice I pay), he has been registered into Kinderland.

Let me first tell you that I checked out SO many daycare centers. I fell in love with T.L.C. in Springville, however, that would mean leaving my house at 6:00am, driving 20 minutes South, then past my house again North, to work.

Adventure Time in Provo, which came HIGHLY recommended was the most disgusting establishment I have ever been in. They take me back to the baby area, which is accessed through a maze. Honestly, I want to be able to drop in un-announced and see my baby whenever I want to. Not wander through a maze to get there.

Anyway, they open the door and I am bombarded by the smell of a poopy diaper. NOT a good impression. Then, I see 4 filthy children crawling around a filthy linoleum floor. Snotty noses, dirty faces, not to mention the BORING teacher. Plus, the size of this room was about 12' x 20'

The play area for the infants and toddlers at Adventure Time was maybe a 9 x 12 foot cell. NO shade, NO grass, and hardly any toys. Disgusting.

SO gross. Couldn't sleep that night and woke up in tears the next day.

BUT, then I found Kinderland. This establishment is about 2 miles from work. I walked in and everyone was SO friendly. The baby room was just that. Carpeted with a reading area, sleeping area, food area, etc. The back yard is HUGE! With big shady trees and fun toys. His teachers are so sweet and Milo is the 2 boy -- the rest are little girls. All the kids are from 4 mos. old to 14 mos old. -- my son of course the biggest of the lot! Even for being the second youngest!

I just felt SO comfortable.

Anyway, here are two of the funniest pictures I have ever seen. First, is of the big carriage all the kids go for a walk in. You can find my son asleep and all the kids looking at him. (grandma is there too with the broken elbow). Then, the next picture of him "why on earth am I in this thing and you not holding me" That's all I have to say about that.

I'm so glad you persevered! I wouldn't have left my child in that second place, either! Kinderland sounds great. That multiple baby carriage is hilarious. It's so hard to leave your child behind, but at least you know he's in good hands. He's such a cutie!

That looks so cute! I am so glad you didn't do Adventure Time. I would have come and gotten him. That place is horrible and I can't believe it's still in business. That's where a lot of my first graders went and I felt so bad! Milo looks happy!
